Once again I will offer my apologies for the late reporting. (These one's
are really late!)
* M>Tram Z3.170 has been internally refurbished to M>Tram specifications,
but the outside remains in The Met livery, complete with a "7 NIGHTLY NEWS"
sticker between the headlights at one end. (The channel 7 logo is the old
one - How many years have channel 7 been using their 'folding ribbon'
logo?). 170 was a former Yarra Z3, in service (unrefurbished) from
Essendon Depot since 29.10.02. At some stage it has been transferred to
East Preston for refurbishment, transferred back on Tue.17.12.02 and seen
in service on Wed.18.12.02.
* M>Tram Z3.147 has also been refurbished to M>Tram design and remains in
The Met livery outside. Unlike 170, 147 was always an M>Tram car, it was
transferred back to Brunswick Depot after refurbishment on Tue.17.12.02.
My thanks must go to those who have verbally and electronically passed on
some of this info.
Gareth.
