* Combino 05 was seen on Dandenong Rd on the down
crossing Chapel St at 14.54.
* Z3.230 was seen running from Malvern.
Z3.138 was seen running from Glenhuntly, and Z1.25 was seen on transfer to
Glenhuntly at 11.00 but not seen in service.
* A number of Z1s were observed with large black
metal brackets on the side of the front apron (underneath the drivers
window). I can only assume these are for advertising, similar to the ones
that have appeared on B2's over recent months. Trams seen with these were
Z1.9, Z1.28, Z1.36, Z1.69, Z1.78 and Z1.83.
* Z3.157 developed power problems at around 16.20
this afternoon, it ran in to GH from East Malvern.
* There appears to be fresh derailment marks at
Domain Interchange, leading off on the Rt 8. My guess is the back part of
a B class derailed, and the driver continued not realising what happened.
I have heard nothing about a derailment there however. Fresh spray paint
markings indicated a speed restriction of 8km/h.
* A 10km/h speed restriction remains in force for
up & down trams on Swanston St travelling through the Franklin St
intersection. I have no idea why, but possibly track
condition.
