Do group rules forbid posting of Word docs to Files? It would be fun to see,
just to satisfy oneself that you really hadn't written SHAHHOH ST.

By the way, i notice that some pix of Geelong cars
show black letters on a white background for the
rolls.

Brimson's "Tramways of Australia" shows earlier cars with such signs, but
mightn't those be cards rather than rollers?

You may discover that the map reproduces fairly well. I've had luck in the past
making b&w xeroxes of spirit copies ("dittos," we used to call them).

Which brings us to another question: have you considered trying to do OCR on
the entire article? If you came up with a remotely usable file, I'd be willing
to do some work cleaning it up.
