Tramways Open Day 10 November, 2002 - Perth Electric Tramway Society -

I am off to Perth for a week for a conference from this friday. I
thought it may be nice to try and visit Whiteman Park this weekend
and ride a few trams. So I started to check out the PETS web site
http://www.railpage.org.au/pets/
and this is what I found...

Tramways Open Day

In 2002 we acknowledge the 100th anniversary of the opening of the
Kalgoorlie tramways, and the 50th anniversary of the closure of
tramways in both Kalgoorlie and Fremantle.

The Perth Electric Tramway Society is marking the occasion by an Open
Day at our Carbarn and workshops complex at Whiteman Park.

Visitors will be able to view

preserved tramcar bodies from Kalgoorlie, Fremantle and Perth;
restoration work in progress on Perth 66 - the last electric tram to
run in Western Australia;
workshop facilities.
Date: 10 November, 2002
Time: 11 am to 3.30 pm
Place: Tramway Workshops, Whiteman Park

... was very excited, what timing ;-)

So I've arranged to visit with my cousin.
