The comments about the Citadis cars were pretty
well dealt with some time ago including a lot of flaming from a well known
member of the group who works at Southbank.
I attach a drawing of the new M>tram Combino,
which I was sworn to secrecy untill the cars got here !!
The Citadis of course has the same
setup.
Note that the cars are in effect two Birneys
connected by a waiting shelter, and most of you will be familliar with the
riding qualities of Birneys !!!!!
In Gunzelland this is (or was) known as the " two
rooms and a bath" system of articulation.
It depends on perfect track for a good
ride.
I think I may pass on the comments of Ron Scholten,
trainer at Malvern, who comments that the Combino seems to him to be a far
superior car in every way except the seating........Peruse the plan and you will
note quite a lack of it.
