400 new trams have to be built for Melbourne....

BALLARAT rail manufacturer Alstom has welcomed the State Government's
initiative to build 400 new trams in Victoria.

"It's excellent news for the industry and for Ballarat," Alstom
Ballarat unit manager Ivan Waterfield said.
