Graeme, can you give us the exact wording of the "no entry" sign?

As best I can make out, the one in Brent's contemporary picture reads "no entry
except Stagecoach bus vehicles only" (a little redundant, but explicit!) but
the one in your 1973 pic is harder to decipher.
