Clock type traffic lights and other memories

In another posting, I referred to the clock type traffic lights that
used to exist at certain tram intersections.
Perhaps some of the pioneer photographers have snaps of trams and
unusual traffic lights back in the 1950s and 1960s.
Speaking of pioneer photographers, it would be interesting to see
some of the early material of people like Jeffrey Bounds who must
have been out photographing when they were barely out of kindergarten.
My first tram trip was the AETA tour in #6 in 1956 when I wasn't
quite six years old. I went, on my own, on the AETA Point Ormond
closure tour in October 1960. My first railfan tour was the
PBPS "Dairylander" tour to Mirboo North on Cup Day 1961 (if I recall
correctly) when I would have been 11. My first photos were taken on
the AETA convention in 1962 that featured train trips to Ballarat
(Easter Saturday) and Bendigo (Easter Sunday), a Werribee set hauled
by an F class around the "inner circle" on Easter Monday and a tram
tour in Y1 611 and PCC 980 on the Tuesday that was then a bank
holiday. I remember 611 had just been fitted with #15 trucks and
(Nifty) Norm Cross strongly advising me not to ride in it because it
wasn't safe with "new" trucks.
Such memories...
Now back to the real world of 2002.
