Hardly a "denial"!

In a fax sent yesterday by Connex to all the stations, the story was described as premature with it being admitted it was one of the options on the table under the current review.

Other thoughts:
* It was suggested by a contact that Alsthom might be bringing forward or trying to bring forward some of their maintenance work to ensure that if the current contracts should be terminated, they will at least have a good spare parts supply business. Purely rumour status only, although it would make sense to try and do as much as possible now if they can and are getting paid for it to ensure that they have as big an involvement as possible later no matter what happens.
* I wonder if that's also why there hasn't been any further Connexification of stations? There seems to have been a limited few done, including the new Premium stations, and that's been it for a while.
