Maroon City Circle Ws are the main image of Melbourne used in tourist
adverts this side of the Tasman, but it seems a while since the traditional
Green and gold Ws have appeared. Zs, As etc appeared in a wonderful black
and white 'atmospheric' TV commercial for visiting Melbourne that was used a
year or two ago, but I haven't noticed it recently.

I've been keeping a watch for any W class trams in Melbourne appearing
in new tourism/travel promotional material that comes my way, since
the topic of Ws being a Melbourne tourism icon was debated here a few
months back.
I've seen quite few As, Bs and the occasional Z class and even one
Citidas used in new travel literature promoting Melbourne, but not
until today had I seen a W in new travel promotional material... W7
1025, in City Circle Maroon livery, got a guernsey in the latest
QANTAS Frequent Flyer newsletter.
Cheers,
Bill
