Same, mostly, over here - Ferrymead involves about 1 km walk from the
nearest (Sumner) bus route to the nearest tram stop, the Wellington Tramway
Museum is currently not realistically accessible by PT (though may be in
future, as I have posted here before). At least MOTAT is on a bus route.

Wouldn't it be nice if all tram museums enjoyed the same PT access as
Sydney!

It's unfortunate, not ironic. St Kilda has the same problem, but it was not
our choice. None of the inner councils wanted a tram museum. They were busy
ripping the street sysstem up at the time. We had to go wherever we could
find somewhere, and the only location available was (and still is) in the
middle of nowhere.
