The
latest Trams and Streetscapes Book by Train Hobby has three really great
pictures of trams around the flyover site, including one that shows the flyover
for the tram lines being in use before the roadways were constructed.
This book is a must for the gunzels out there, full
colour most full A4 landscape size and excellently
reproduced.

I remember my mother taking me for a tram ride over the newly
constructed flyover, probably during the school holidays in 1960.
That would have been on a "trip to town" that was a school holiday
treat for the baby boomers. I can't recall the area before the
flyover was constructed.
