No, the Y1's were not a technical failure, they were quite successfull in
their limited numbers. It was'nt poor production standards either, the cars
are far more substantial than a W and would have required a total jig
redesign where as each W was a progression of the last and were of very
simply construction.

So the Yappers were a technical failure due to poor production design.
Too bad. The entrance doors would have made it a much better one man car.
