The main reason those trams are rotting down there at Spotswood is
chauvinism. Some people cracked the irrits at them going to the Yanks
heheheheheheh so they banned sending them overseas.

Now they sit there rotting doing no one any good waiting for the inevitable
fire or just slow rot, whichever happens first.

And the only ones on the road have butchered braking systems and electronic
odes to stupidity and poor ergonomics mounted amidships with a counterweight
to slow the old jiggers down even more.

Sounds like Monty Python.

Tight assed narrow gutted anal retentive idiots.

The sight of the neglected trams and parts at Newport rouses my
anger. There are tramway heritage groups in Australia, New Zealand
and elsewhere begging for a chance to save and restore this stuff.
The Minister has a report regarding the management of Victoria's
tramway heritage on his desk. Why does he not read it, consult with
those affected, and implement the obvious action plan?
