But we have settled for apparently insurmountable technical problems with
the brake systems of cars which have operated successfully for 50 years plus
as an excuse to keep them off the road.
That's bullshit. The tram companies and perhaps the trammies union didn't
want them to run.
I thought it was that they had just discovered after nearly 30 years of
running them with modern cars that W class trams and modern cars don't mix...8^)
Oh, that and changing the slack adjusters from manual to automatic...(or
whatever it is, I'm no mechanical tech head!)
