The location is at the east end of Sturt St where, at the Boundary with
Ballarat East, the road narrowed down and became Bridge St.

The Bucks Head hotel is in the background.

I think that pic B-34584 from the first email is at Ballarat tram depot
- which survived until the end of the electric tram era in 1971.
