My only visit to Perth post Mandurah was eye opening. I boarded at the
underground station and we traipsed our way onto the freeway and around a
few curves with the road traffic roaring past. But then we reached the
beginning of the straight stuff and it was pedal to the metal as we left
the road traffic for dead, we were pushed back in our seats with the
acceleration......well almost. Very impressive railway.
