It may be that they watch the battery meter in the tram and only get a
charge when they need it and that every stop is set up for it only as a
contingency. Presumably this time TfNSW will build in recovery time at the
termini and this will give a bit of standing time for recharge. The line
could do with a decent extension westwards to enable some in-motion
charging on OHW.
From the photos, there is certainly a pile of batteries on the roof of each
end module - all balanced on one bogie. I wonder what the axle load will be
there?!
