Half-cab gutterliners. Have respect! I'm sitting in
one now watching a video of the Pittsburgh tram system back in the 50s with PCCs
operating on the biggest tram system I've ever seen. Longest line 35 miles, 2nd
longest 29 miles.
Do you want to see this before I send it back to
Jim Holland in the US?
I"ll be in Melbourne next week. Maybe we should get
together at Peter Bruce's or your place for a few ales and watch this thing.
It's even got a good soundtrack with some of the numbers from 2001, A Space
Odyssey.
Those PCCs are amazing to watch, as is their
relationship to vehicle speeds on the film and the whole cast of thousands of
Yank Tanks.
