D              Drivers and conductors wanted NOW on the MMTB

G             Great satisfaction, a job with the tramways of the MMTB

H             Have a job with a future working on the trams of the MMTB

I               Interesting and rewarding employment with the trams of the MMTB

J              Join the MMTB for a rewarding job on the trams.

K             Know anybody who would like to join the trams of the MMTB?

L             Lasting and satisfying employment on the trams of the MMTB

M             Men and Women always required to work on the trams of the MMTB

N            New staff always required on the trams of the MMTB

O            Oh, what a great job on the MMTB trams.

P             Perhaps you need a change, come and work on the trams of the MMTB

Of course the best job advert was in the trams themselves up on the curved ceiling ad panels,

Cleverly situated where anyone lying on the floor could read them.

 

A fresh faced keen young man with toothy smile and immaculate uniform gesticulatingly implored us to

  ..........  "JOIN THE TRAMWAYS" ...........

Then added ........"YOU WILL BE SURPRISED"   !!!    

 

I must point out that the above adverts are in the most part not the actual things,  I made them up give you an idea of how it was.

All the adds would be in the same issue.of the same paper.

 What is 800 doing on 55's ,  as it was a Brunswick car and I was a Brunswick driver at the time.
