Braids at Camberwell had their own locked toilet
cubicle. There were about eight cubicles and if a
Braid needed to use the facilities he would always
open the one for the "men in green" even if all the
others were vacant.
I think the urinals were "shared"! Also the few out on
the road such as the one at the Wattle Park tram
terminus.
The men in green were "officers of the Board" rather
than "employees" as were the "platform staff". They
had their own mess room at Camberwell.
There were no female braids in my time (1974-1976).
