Yes I do have many pictures of 52 and 53 (700) ex
Victorian railway cars.
That picture last posted was in fact one of them
taken during one of several charters of both the
cars.
As Murph says, a full day on Footscray driving one
of these cars would result in the driver usually
having a pronounced list to port after his shift.
As well he would have double vision and backache.
We Essendon crews would often have to adjorn to the
local dispensery for medicinal treatment .
Mind you, I would kill / bribe to get the shifts
that took the cars when required, for wheel
grinding to South Melbourne or Brunswick depots.
My one allowed attachment is of the VR car which was
purchased by the MMTB but never turned a wheel for
them..
