I agree Bill, after VR 50 and 51 were converted to one
man operation for the Black Rock line in 1938 and 1934
respectively(after Y1 613 was borrowed from the MMTB
for evaluation of one man trams) they did look a lot
uglier than what they used to be.

which is the Haddon museum site. 41 should be at
Bendigo by now for restoration.
