Funny,

I did'nt see anyone wanting to shoot the messenger in fact, all I have seen
people(including my-self) say, we can't open the thing, if Andrew does'nt
want to try to post anymore, that's his choice, I'm sure even those of us
who can't open his file, are greatful for his effort, I certainly am and I
have seen the ads first hand (along with all other Yarra Tram employees)
before they appeared on TV.

Greg

Sorry Greg, but we may have to disagree here. My impression of the tone of
the comments was slight animosity directed at Andrew for posting files other
people couldn't see, as well as the comment that until he did post in a more
widely viewable format then don't bother.

I can only concur with Mr Gamble that the response was regrettable whether
intentional or not. For the record I was able to see the ads with no
difficulty and can only encourage Andrew to keep posting things of interest
he sees.

If one of the people who cannot see the file format Andrew posts in would
like to suggest a better way of doing it so it is more accessible, other
than potential viewers downloading a more recent version of Media Player,
then I would also be interested to know in case I am in the same position!

For interest sake, I might also point people to the FAQ in the files section
of the Yahoo Groups site, especially the bit as follows:

* Last but definitively NOT least....the only real "rule" on TramsDownUnder
is that you do not bash one another. Mud slinging and flaming is not
allowed. Please allow everyone to speak their mind in a friendly way, and
respect the fact that we can't all agree all of the time. If we all had the
same opinion on every topic all of the time, this list would get extremely
boring very fast. However, if you are having a problem with someone or
something, please write the list owner (Milantram) PRIVATELY at
[email protected] or [email protected] for help in
solving it. Please do not create an uproar on the list first. Most times,
these issues can be resolved immediately behind the scenes without
disrupting the flow of the list.

I don't think we quite got to this stage, but it was starting to head that way!

Hope we can all get back to the trams now...
