Hi, gang!
Well, I've succumbed to the realization that there is more out there in the
North American traction scene than discussion groups focusing on specific
cities or regions. So I've come up with a new group:
[email protected]
Like my other groups, focus is on the history, operating characteristics,
the "hows and whys" of LRT and of course the fleets in use on the various
systems and the needs each system fills, etc. The group discussion covers
LRT opened since 1978 as well as older systems such as Boston, Philadelphia
and San Francsico. In addition, new and existing "heritage" tramways such
as New Orleans and Memphis are also covered in this new group. Cities
constructing or planning new LRT systems are also included in the
discussion.
As on all of my groups, JPEG picture attachments are welcome, and the files,
photos and message archives are open for public viewing.
To subscribe, send an e-mail to:
[email protected]
or open the web site at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LightRailTraction
and click on "Join This Group" in the upper right hand corner.
Welcome Aboard!
Sincerely,
Peter Ehrlich (Milantram)
listowner
