Re: Tram Routes

When Camberwell Was 'Z-ified' and Route 72 was transferred to Malvern
the first two cars in the morning were run by Camberwell Cars between
Camberell and Gardiner where they connected with the Malvern Car.
This was so that Malvern Depot did not have to open earlier. This was
fine when it was one tramway system (and there were curves at the
Junction); however all sorts of things changed when Jeff split the
system and the two systems would not talk or co-operate with each
other. Malvern Depot had to open earlier and close later so that
Malvern was only closed from about 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.
The first Car to Camberwell 'cars out' at 04:50.
Regards to all for this New Year and the Malvern Town Hall curves
will be renewed on 11-12 January, not in Feb as I mentioned earlier.
Geoff.
