The reasons i am commenting about the condition of the Z class
trams,to members of this group is to make them aware that some of the
Z class trams which had heavy body overhauls like 67 are now gone.
If they obtain a z class in late 2003 perhaps the groups
concerned, might be left with a car with body rust.If T.M.S.V are
short of funds to pay for the cost of transporting a Z to
Bylands, then why have the not put out a fund raising brochure.I and
others would contribute.
It is a great shame that A.E.T.M. Adelaide can not preserve a Z
class as one in the St Kilda Museum would make a great contrast in
showing where tramcar development stopped in Adelaide and continued
in Melbourne.
