Mr Bounds.
Thank you for your weekly preservation social commentary.
I highly suggest you stop criticising the decisions of preservation groups
with respect to the cars they choose to preserve. I for one am becoming
tired of it.
Perhaps you should consider becoming a committee member of a preservation
group and then offer your input in a proactive fashion.
Thank You.

I have been informed that Z class no 67 has been sold to the
Lilydale area. This car was one of the few Z class cars to be given
an 01 overhaul.Barring electrical problems this should have been the
car for the T.M.S.V as it had a reasonable body.Perhaps there were
other reasons for its withdrawal.
If any body from any of the museums are reading this, the cars to go
after are.No 83,a/c best condition of the cars left with boselli
destination signs.
I have been informed no 5 is the worst car in this group.
No 70 would be one to consider as this was the last car to get a
full dody overhaul in 1978.It replaced no 109 which was destroyed by
fire in April 1996. I was given this imformation re these cars by
Geoff Dean,a Malvern Driver.
