Recently 4 trams at Malvern and 1 at Glenhuntly had their ticket machines
broken into and the vaults were stolen. Management ordered security at all
4 depots, until 16.12 (takeover date).
In that duration, a single security person patrolled the depot. At GH, they
caught one teenager breaking in to have another go. He was handed over to
the police, and I am guessing will be charged.
There is no security at any depot now, as far as I am aware.

Can anyone confirm, and does anyone know whether there is any sort
of security at our depots. If they can get in and do this, there'd
be not much stopping them from dropping a lighted match on the way
out, and before we know it we'd have another Brisbane on our hands.
