Citadis Vs. Combino

rode 3504 today from Chapel Street to Flinders St. front end was
quiet while back end was quite noisy.

like others have said, the layout of the combino is what spoils it,
but everything else is good.

a few points...

* "next stop" makes no sound at all when you press the button

* PID is good but occasionally displays stops after we have passed
thru them (eg. kings way)

* i found those footprints infront of the ticket machine easy to use
even though most other people had no idea and some didn't even see
the huge sign infront of them, it'll serve them right if they get a
ticket while on a curve :P

* most people were confused with the seating arrangment and decided
to stand instead (even with about 20/38 seats empty).

Overall I can't really decide which i like better. The ride quality
is way better on a Combino and the inside of the tram is better in a
Citadis.

BTW is combino pronounced like "Combine-o" or is it like "Combeeno"?
