I presume the new crossover at Victoria Gardens will replace the
crossover at North Richmond. While most of the crossovers on the 109
have had their frogs removed, the latter crossover hasn't been
upgraded, and is also in an awkward position due to motor traffic for
a tram to reverse. Can anyone confirm this?

When I was on the trams in the early 70's, this crossover was only
used by trams running out from Kew Depot to commence service on Rt
78/79 in Church St. Back then the terminus at Church St/Victoria St
was only single track and there was only a single curve from Church St
to Victoria St. To get into Church St, trams had to shunt across the
crossover and run bang road around the curve into Church St.
