Yes, the closure of Hawthorn Depot on 14/2/1965 co-incided with the closure of Route 27, Spencer St - Hawthorn, and the rerouting of Route 74 (Burwood), to run to the City Spencer St via Bridge Rd instead of via Swan St. to Batman Ave.
