Hello all,
I have just joined this group and thought I would introduce myself. My name is
Chris Stratton, I live in Wollongong NSW and am primarily a railfan but also
have an interest in trams. I have been a member of SPER but not currently. I
have been working on an excel spreadsheet which lists all Australian electric
trams, if anyone wants a look I can mail it to them, I don't have access to
upload it to the Files section.
I have also noticed that the 2 Melb W2 tram bodies (370? and 577?) that were
stored at Kemblawarra are now gone as the site has been sold and split up.
These were 2 of the 3 purchased for the ill-fated Port Kembla Industrial museum
project. The third car 560? went to SPER for parts in 1999, along with the
bogies of the other 2 cars.
