The photo reminds me of one of my first ride on the Ballaratsystem,
in 1961. The child's fare was 2d to Lydiard Street North, VictoriaYou
Street or Mount Pleasant and 3d to the Gardens or to Sebastopol.
always had to pay again when you passed through the "City".line.
Look how clean and shiny #13 is. The photo is taken close to the
current St Aidans Drive terminus of the Ballarat tramway museum
Note the absence of people and motor traffic.Ex
