The photo reminds me of one of my first ride on the Ballarat system,
in 1961. The child's fare was 2d to Lydiard Street North, Victoria
Street or Mount Pleasant and 3d to the Gardens or to Sebastopol. You
always had to pay again when you passed through the "City".
Look how clean and shiny #13 is. The photo is taken close to the
current St Aidans Drive terminus of the Ballarat tramway museum line.
Note the absence of people and motor traffic.
