No - unlike the current trolleybuses which no longer appear at the weekends,
and become quite scarce in the evenings, the Newtown Park Zoo route was 100%
tram operated until the last tram ran. I took a photo of the 'Tram Stop'
sign at Thorndon being changed to 'Bus Stop' during the speeches.

Were Wellington trams run only at peak hours in their last year of
existence?
I am still searching through my photographic negs looking for 321 for
Wellington,but I have 620 & 120 negatives of these cities.
Dunedin,Christchurch,Wellington,New Plymouth and
Auckland.Unfortunately with these negs,I can not print them as I have
no 620 enlarger.Who can help.
