The part of Bunny St in your tram photo, Don, hasn't had trolleybus wiring
for (probably) about 10 years - a victim of the simplification I referred to
a while ago. OTOH, the 1999 Trolleybus Festival used the (then) seldom used
layover wires in Bunny St between Featherston St and Lambton Quay. That area
is now the temporary trolleybus terminal for the Railway Station, and extra
lines and platforms were installed while the permanent main terminus area
visible in my overhead photo is completed. (The latter work looks on target
for a December completion. Poles for the extension of northbound wires the
full length of Lambton Quay and the turning area are now going in.)
Cheers

Featherston St. on the other hand had regular service, right?
I remember from your pictures of the 50th seeing Bunny St. used as a staging
area for trolley processions. Now, as best I can make out, it sees only the
city circulator service. Rabbit transit.
