I spoke to a noted tramway historian yesterday and he asked whether
all of us were satisfied that the view of Puckle Street was
genuine.
His concern was based on the fact that no photograph of a tram in
Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds, had been found to exist but the one
discovered by Mal appeared to me to be genuine.

Mal,
Thanks for postong the photo. This is the first photo i have seen
of
a
tram in Puckle St Moonee Ponds. Now all we need to see is a decent
photo of a tram in Victoria St Flemington.

Paul,
This noted tramway historian must be wearing "ROSE TINTED
SPECTACLES" as the photo supplied by Mal is genuine.Lindsay, tells me
he has seen a photo of a V class in Puckle St taken near the railway
station.I believe the line was only used when races were at Moonee
Valley Racecourse. If the line was abandoned in 1925.there is a
possibility that the following class of tram may have used the
line.M.Q.R.S.U.V.& W.These classes were at Essendon Depot in 1924.I
invite comment
Regards Jeff
