Can anyone sketch and scan the old layout[pre 15/9/69]at the entrance
to Malvern Depot?I worked there on my day off one Saturday in the
summer of '68/69 and I remember running in from the north on
Glenferrie Rd,all the spares and standby drivers were sitting on the
grass near the Run in board smoking and talking and basking in the
sunshine and as I crossed Coldblo Rd.one of them held up the right or
left arm to signify old shed or new shed so obviously there were
separate sets of points out in G'ferrie Rd.My connie had given me the
drum on this so I knew what to watch for.After we shunted we found
the road made for us all the into the shed as the boys out the front
weren't just there for their good looks.The connie dropped off the
car as we passed the Revenue and we rumbled into the old shed and
stopped close up to the next car.Then it was just knock the switches
out,grab the run plates,swing the poles and walk down to the Starters
cabin to sign the car off"OK".Another 6 day week behind me.Harking
