Many moons ago when I first escaped from New
Zealand, I passed through Melbourne in December 1963 on way to seek my fortune
and happiness on a working holiday in Great Britain.
The good ship "Gallileo Gallalei" , a new
ship of the Lloyd Triestino line, dropped me at Station Pier from where I did a
lightning day of tram gunzelling and riding around the City.
When checking pictures last night, I see that at
some stage that day I actually rode on a No 7 tram.............No
