Resturant car W2 442 Also in heritage colection, W 380, W1 431, (these
were
converted to W2 standard in the 30's and were retro'd in the 80's) W2 510,
also last W2 in reg service 646, spare car 600, art car 504, all these are
stored at Preston workshops in operable condition, cars 568 and 560,
privately owned in operable condition stored at former Nth Fitzroy depot,
none of the above have run for a number of years with the exception of
442.
There a a couple of more that for the moment escape me. Bendigo has a
large
number of W2's in various conversions and some stored, some of them form
the
base service, will try and get numbers.

Car 392 is at Sydney museum awaiting overhaul, 294 and 354 (as a works
car)
are in the Adelaide museum and operate. Probably one of the more unusaul
locations of one is 520 that is a tea room (complete) in the singer, Elton
John's back yard!!!!!

WARNING, There's more of them out there!!!

Greg
Peter,

The original Colonial Restaurant tram is a W-2. Several newer ones are
so-called big cars.

Bob Murphy

Numbers, please!
