So 44 could become Box Hill - City as I assume that 109 will be Box Hill
- Port Melbourne when the time comes. Or will the 42's continue to run.

The 44 and the 71 were my closest "short workings" when I was growing
up in Surrey Hills. Both are now gone.
It was one of my earliest "tasks" to see all the route numbers in
service and write them down. It would have been the mid 1950s and I
would have been six or seven.
