That is a Sunday; might be a good opportunity for a get together of
TramsDownUnder readers and contributors. What would be the local pub
for a "cleanser" to celebrate? Any takers?

October 13th 2002 marks the 50th anniversary of the closure ofCoburg
Depot as a running shed. The depot opened in 1916 for theW7
Melb.Brunswick & Coburg Tramways Trust.and closed on oct 13th
1952.The depot was then used as a store, holding the T class 177 to
182,S164 before storage at Malvern.Dog Car no 30<C class>,and W6 &
cars awaiting service on the Bourke St lines.I believe the depotwas
finally emptied of trams in1955.
