Combino and 983

Gday TDUs,Combino all over town in the last week,most interestingly inbound on
Airport West in the AM peak on Monday and on Friday shunting at RMIT then
taking curve Swanston into Latrobe and then shunting west of Elizabeth St. ably
assisted by tram fan John Hickey with the pointbar.To paraphrase Steve Waugh in
the Orange ad.nice lookin car too,am attaching 1970 shot of 983[soon to return
to service] in Bourke St at Spring,obviously mid Winter,there are nine other cars in
sight,not bad for two routes at 10.35 am,well and truly off peak.Re tram watching
pubs,I dont know why it took me so long to think of the Espy,the Esplanade Hotel
in Upper Esplanade,at St.Kilda.Ive sat in that beautiful bay window overlooking the
bay a few times and watched the cars roll by,Soon,hopefully well see Ws passing
by again.Time for a list of tram watching pubs to be compiled,Ill start
