Today's pics cover the same areas as those in my post a week ago on 5th of September.

The shot looking East in Victoria St shows the tram works completed and, with complete elimination of car parking on the street in this block, a much better outcome for those actually moving on the road.  The tramway in both directions is now in its own lane.

Around in Swanston St, clean up work continues, although the tram track is complete.

An extra day of road closure has been announced - with trams now returning on Tuesday morning instead of Monday morning.

This is due to what is described as an "International Event" and I assume they didn't want a weekend disruption of the planned Sunday final tidy up.

The second shot shows the new points at Franklin St and a section of gauntlet track leading to the turn off into Victoria St.

Note the sign at left advising drivers of a non-standard point control setting.

The barriers at left are not related to tram works - they relate to the Metro Tunnel station being built beneath the road there.
