Re: Return of Ws to normal service

The W class trams could be used on route 31 shuttles, but are a tiny
bit slow in loading, also they would only be out for a maxiumum of
three hours a day.
Also the city circle has it's fast spots and the drivers would need
to be shown a bit of speed. It will be interesting to see what will
happen over the next month, now that the last of the 31 citadis cars
is entering service. The Z class trams are rumored to be completly
out of Yarra service within the next 2-3 weeks and after that there
may be a shortage of servicable trams and drivers who are trained in
them. Not all drivers have been trained in the Citadis trams as yet.
The additional 6 citadis cars are still expected in Sept 2002.

Get your photos of the Z class trams, and I will try and keep this
group posted as to when the official last run of a Yarra Z class will
