Thanks :-) There was a report in vicrail-news (Yahoo group) thatthe
reported W.897 was transferred (towed) to Preston with the pole up
and via Gisborne/Brunswick Sts? They could use them on rte 31
shuttles instead of using the returned Z3s from M>Tram.
There also seems to be a shortage of trams available at the moment?
Several times I have seen As running on rte 75 and 86 instead of
usual B2s.
cheers
Johann
Just in reply, 897 tram was moved from Southbank Depot last saturday
towed by an A class tram. It is completly un-modified and was not
able to be driven. It was moved due to space problems at Southbank.
Also the winter months are quiet so a number of B class trams are
getting new wheels fitted and also repainting of green trams into
Yarra colors. A number of advertising trams are also being repainted
one of them being 2059 (former HOTWHEELS). Alastair
