-You want pie in the sky Jack, back in the dim darks when several of us fans and fellow travellers worked at the late and very lamented South Melbourne Depot[I always preferred Hanna St.] whilst sitting around the messroom drinking endless cups of tea and playing eight ball pool we decided to extend the North Coburg line to Sydney, nothing too ambitious,no 4 minute service, well not beyond Kilmore anyway, just the basic Melbourne 12 minute headway. We did have great plans to actually produce a block and tables but it became obvious that there was not enough masonite in the world to do this,we tried to figure out how many W2s would be needed but we couldn't because the computer hadn't been invented that could manage such complex calculations. So another dream died and humankind was the poorer.PBruce. -- In TramsDownUnder@y..., "trampanto" <ebjaz@o...> wrote:
What is the planned route for the extention to the station? Is it
along the street, or using a reseve in the parkland? Finally, pie in
the sky stuff, any "we'd love to extend to..." places?
