Congratulations to everyone involved in today's successful operation
of Milano 1692 on the City Circle service in Melbourne.
I spent most of the afternoon riding the car clockwise around the
circle. It operated anti-clockwise this morning with
motorman, "Trolley" Greg King and conductor (customer service
officer) taking their meal break at Colonial Stadium terminus.
The day was supported by the Italian community with many people
reminiscing about their tram rides in their homeland.
Hopefully we can see further instances of historic trams running in
Melbourne with the support of the operators, the Government and the
community. And of course providing a great day out for the "gunzels"!
