I don't think they were worth it. I wait for a DX express at Third
and Mission every day. Every day large numbers of people ask bus
drivers if their buses go to the airport/BART/somewhere else. If
they were aware of the system, they could figure out a good bit of
it.

I do give SamTrans credit because they pay close attention and adjust
their schedules four times a year to reflect operating conditions and
demand.

BTW, how are you, Joe? I haven't been to Melbourne in daylight in

months. Pics of the old cable system buildings are still on my
agenda. Any of you other guys, Joe's a cable car gunzel and has a
good cable car site. He would appreciate any pics you guys have of
any of the old Melbourne cable winding houses or depots that are
still standing. I've sent him the North Melbourne Winding house and
the depot in High Street, Northcote.

I'm doing great, Bob, and I hope you are well. I enjoyed the photos
you sent me. I have some new/old postcards of Melbourne cable trams
to post soon. I'm happy to get photos of cable relics and put them
up on my site. The more people learn about these things, the
better.
